Boarding for every reason you travel

Some trips are planned months ahead and some are not. Each page below explains how boarding fits that situation, including the holiday closures and the 50 percent deposit that applies near major holidays.

Holidays

The kennel is closed all day on New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and closes at 3:00 PM on Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Stays that begin from seven days before to seven days after a major holiday need a 50 percent non-refundable deposit 30 days ahead. Airports and long drives

Dixon sits on Interstate 80 between Sacramento and the Bay Area, so it is on the way to Sacramento, Oakland or San Francisco airports, or to Lake Tahoe and the wine country. Drop-off windows are 7:30 to 11:30 AM and 2:00 to 5:00 PM every day, which suits early and late flights alike.

Life events

Moves, remodels, new babies, family emergencies and hospital stays rarely come with notice. Dogs and cats with current vaccines can usually be planned quickly; the kennel confirms every reservation. Stays of 14 nights or more get a reduced long-term rate, and stays beyond four weeks are billed every two weeks to a card on file.

Students and military

UC Davis families and Travis Air Force Base families have their own pages, covering move-in weekends, PCS moves and deployments, with the military rate of about 10 percent off the nightly dog price.
