Flying out of Oakland (OAK)

Build the day around the flight

Drop-off windows are 7:30 to 11:30 AM and 2:00 to 5:00 PM every day. For a morning flight, the simplest plan is to drop off the afternoon before, leave your pet at the kennel overnight, and head to the airport rested. For an afternoon or evening flight, drop off in the morning window on the same day.

On the way home, check-out is by 11:30 AM. If you land after the morning window, collect between 2:00 and 5:00 PM and the stay adds half of the nightly fee. A late-night arrival means the next morning or afternoon.

What a trip costs

A five-night trip with one dog in a Business Class kennel is 5 x $59, or $295 on the 2026 rates. A cat in the cattery for five nights is 5 x $35, or $175. Two cats sharing a condo pay the reduced $30 for the second cat. Rates are per night, like a hotel, so the day you drop off counts as the first night.

Travel days that need a second look
