Easter is the one spring holiday where the gate is shut on a Sunday, which changes how a long weekend away works. The plan below is built around that single closed day.
Plan around the closed Sunday
Easter weekend 2027 runs Friday, March 26 through Sunday, March 28. The kennel keeps its normal drop-off and pick-up windows on Friday and Saturday, 7:30 to 11:30 AM and 2:00 to 5:00 PM, and is closed all day on Sunday. Monday, March 29 is a regular day again.
That leaves two clean choices. Pick up on Saturday afternoon before 5:00 PM if you are back early, or wait for Monday morning and collect by 11:30 AM so the stay ends on a full night. A Sunday pick-up is not possible, so a family driving home Sunday evening should plan on Monday.
The deposit, with real dates
- Find your drop-off date. Anything from Sunday, March 21 through Sunday, April 4, 2027 falls in the window, because the rate sheet counts reservations that begin seven days before through seven days after the holiday.
- Pay 50% of the stay as a deposit 30 days before drop-off. For a Friday, March 26 drop-off, that is February 24.
- If plans change, cancel at least 7 days ahead and the whole deposit becomes a credit on your account. Cancel inside 7 days and it is forfeited.
- Pay the balance at pick-up. The holiday deposit checker runs your dates, and please call to confirm.
A sample Easter stay
One dog in a Business Class kennel, dropped off Friday morning and picked up Monday morning, is three nights at $59 on the 2026 rates, or $177. Two dogs sharing a First Class kennel pay $72 for the first and $61 for the second each night. A cat in the cattery is $35 a night. The stay estimator adds up your own dates.
Spring timing

Is Happy Paws open on Good Friday?
Yes. The closed days are the seven listed on the hours page, and Good Friday is not one of them. Regular hours apply.
Can I pick up on Easter Sunday?
No. The kennel is closed all day on Easter. Pick up Saturday before 5:00 PM or Monday by 11:30 AM.
Does the deposit apply if my stay starts after Easter?
If your stay begins by April 4, 2027, the rate sheet window still covers it. Please call to confirm your dates.
