Boarding a senior cat

Older cats like routine, a comfortable place to nap and a litter box they can reach. Telling the cattery about your cat's habits before the stay lets staff set things up the way your cat likes.

The cattery for an older cat

The cattery has individual four-level towers, which the kennel calls condos. Each cat is given its own litter box and a cozy blanket, and there is a cat tree and cat houses to play and hide in. The kennel and cattery are temperature controlled.

Tell the staff about

• Jumping or climbing: tell staff if your cat avoids high perches
• Medication: the dose, the times and whether it goes in food
• Appetite: what your cat eats now and what it will not touch
• Litter box habits: anything about how your cat uses it that staff should know

Food and medicine

House cat food is a canned pate and a chicken-and-rice kibble at no charge, and you may bring your own food, also at no charge. Medications are given at no extra charge. Cats do best when the diet does not change, so bring the food they already eat.

Price and booking

One cat is $35 a night, and cats from one home sharing a condo are $30 each for the additional cats, on the 2026 rates. Check-out is by 11:30 AM. Send a booking request or call 707-678-6600. Cats need current rabies and FVRCP records on file. For more, read senior cats and boarding.

A short visit first

If your senior cat has not boarded before, a tour during 9 to 11 AM or 2 to 4 PM lets you see the cattery yourself. A cat day care visit at $25 is another way to try it out.
