What the kennel does about it
Each run has a doggie door to an outdoor area and an air-conditioned interior, and dogs see neighbors through the fence but have their own space. Cats stay in individual four-level condos. At check-in, please keep your pet in the car with the air conditioning running; a staff member carries belongings and walks your pet in. Pavement can be hot, so staff may scoop up a dog and hurry. Summer deposit windows, 2027
Each needs a 50% non-refundable deposit 30 days before drop-off. A summer trip between the windows has no holiday deposit unless it runs longer than four weeks.
- Memorial Day: stays beginning May 24 to June 7 (closed Monday May 31)
- July 4th: stays beginning June 27 to July 11 (closed Sunday July 4)
- Labor Day: stays beginning August 30 to September 13 (closed Monday September 6)
Pricing a two-week trip
Two weeks (14 nights) for one dog in Business Class is 14 x $53, $742, at the long-term rate on the 2026 rates. Standard nightly price for a shorter stay is $59. Cat condos are $35 a night. See the estimator for exact dates.
Packing for a summer stay
Bring your pet's own food in its original bag, any medications with written instructions and one toy that is not the favorite. Every run has a Kuranda bed and blankets, so a home bed is not needed. Because Happy Paws is a country kennel, dogs run through the field and play in the grass, and a bath for boarders can be arranged for a price based on size and coat; please ask. Remove metal pinch collars before check-in.
