Bath questions
Baths are available for overnight boarders and are priced by your dog's size plus the type and length of its coat. Please ask for the current price when you book.
The kennel's 2026 rate sheet lists baths as please ask. The only printed chart is the one effective January 1, 2024, so treat chart prices as a guide and ask to confirm.

Who can have a bath?
Overnight boarders. Ask at drop-off or when you book.
How much is a bath?
Please ask. Price depends on size, coat type and coat length. On the 2024 bath chart, a dog of 26 to 50 pounds with a short coat was $40, and please ask to confirm today's price.
How do I time it for pick-up?
Give the staff your best arrival time so bathing and drying are finished before you get there.
Why a bath helps
Why might my dog need one after a stay?
Happy Paws is a country kennel, so dogs run through the field and play in the grass. A bath before pick-up sends a clean dog home.
What happens if fleas or ticks are found?
The pet is bathed and the owner pays for the bath. Arrive flea and tick free to avoid that.
Using the chart
How does the chart work?
Find your dog's weight in the left column and move across to its coat length: extra short, short, medium, or extra long or double coated.
Which coat is my dog's?
Examples from the chart: a Boxer or pit bull is extra short, a Labrador is short, a shepherd is medium, and a Malamute or husky is extra long or double coated.
Is the chart the current price list?
It is effective January 1, 2024. Please ask the kennel to confirm today's bath price.

Can a bath be added mid-stay?
Ask the staff. They can tell you what fits your pet's stay.
Is the bath part of the nightly rate?
No. It is a separate charge, quoted when you ask.
Who bathes the dogs?
The kennel staff. Ask at drop-off and give your pick-up time.

Send your dates and pets and the kennel will get back to you. Holiday stays need a 50% deposit 30 days before drop-off, so ask early.
