Medication and health questions
Medications are given at no extra charge. Hand them over at drop-off with written instructions, and list your pet's health conditions on the boarding agreement.

Medicine, health information and what happens if your pet needs care while you are away.
Giving medication
Do you charge to give medication?
No. Special feedings, giving medications and walks are all included in the nightly rate.
How should I bring medication?
In its original container with written instructions: the dose, the times and how it is given. Mark the name of your pet on it.
Can medicine be given with a meal?
Yes. Tell the staff how your pet takes it. Customers have mentioned a diet or schedule being followed closely.
Health rules
How old must my pet be?
At least 16 weeks old before the first day of the stay, with the vaccinations recommended for that age.
Can a pet with a health condition stay?
A pet may not be accepted if it is not in good health. Call 707-678-6600 or come for a tour and talk with a manager about your pet. Diabetic pets are often more comfortable in a quieter setting, so ask first.
Do fleas matter?
Pets should arrive free of fleas and ticks. If a problem is found after drop-off, the pet is bathed at the owner's cost.
If your pet needs a vet
Who decides on veterinary care?
The boarding agreement gives the kennel permission to arrange veterinary care at the owner's expense if it seems necessary. The staff contact you first, then your additional contact, then your emergency contact.
What is the medical release?
Page four of the boarding agreement. It records your pet's conditions, age-related concerns, pet insurance and how much treatment you want if you cannot be reached.
Who should my emergency contact be?
Someone who is not traveling with you and who may decide and pick up for you.
Stress and routine
Can boarding bring on anxiety or stiffness?
Boarding is a change of routine, and conditions such as anxiety, mobility problems or arthritis can flare. Describe them on the agreement so the staff know.
Which vaccines are required?
Dogs: rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella and canine influenza. Cats: rabies and FVRCP.
