People ask because some kennels list breeds they cannot take. The rule here is short.
The entry rules that apply to every breed
These rules are the same for a Chihuahua, a Pit Bull, a Labrador and a Persian.
- Dogs and cats must be at least 16 weeks old before the first day of the stay.
- Dogs need rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella and canine influenza; cats need rabies and FVRCP.
- Records must be good through the last day of the stay.
- Pets should arrive free of fleas and ticks.
- The pet must be in good health to be accepted.
Size decides the kennel class
Mastiffs, Great Danes and other giants usually go in First Class. The kennel class finder helps you pick.
| Class | Interior size | Good for | 2026 rate, one dog |
|---|---|---|---|
| Economy | 4x4 ft | Small and medium dogs, or one large dog | $52 |
| Business Class | 5x6 ft | One large dog, or a pair of large dogs | $59 |
| First Class | 6x8 ft | Extra large dogs, or two or three large dogs | $72 |
Cats and small pets
Cats of every breed stay in individual towers, and rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, rats, guinea pigs and birds can stay too. For small pets the kennel may ask you to provide the cage, and the price is "please ask."
Your breed, your page
