Intact dogs welcome
Happy Paws accepts all breeds of dogs and cats whether neutered or intact. An intact dog stays at the same nightly rate as any other dog, from $52 a night in Economy Class on the 2026 rate sheet.
Kennels from $52 a night, all-inclusive (2026 rates)
Owners of unneutered dogs often have to hunt for a kennel that will take them. Here the rule is simple and written on the kennel's own information page.
The rule in the kennel's words
The kennel's information page says it accepts all breeds of dogs and cats, neutered or intact. Dogs must be at least 16 weeks old before the first day, have the recommended vaccinations for their age and be in good health.
How the runs work
Each dog has its own indoor/outdoor run with a doggie door and a Kuranda bed. Dogs can see their neighbors through the fence but have their own space. Dogs from the same home may share a run at a lower rate for the second dog; a first dog is $52, $59 or $72 and each additional dog sharing is $44, $50 or $61, on the 2026 rates.
Tell the kennel
- Whether your dog is intact when you book
- Whether a female is in or near heat; see can you board a dog in heat
- Any behaviors staff should know about
- Your dog's age and size, so staff can suggest a run
Booking
Send a booking request through the Book / My Account link or call 707-678-6600. Vaccine records need to be on file and current through the end of the stay. See intact for the term, or do you take intact dogs for the short answer.

What pet owners say
I love boarding my dog there because on vacation I know he'll be safe. Well treated heat and AC all is good. They send me photos of them and they're very very friendly staff. I highly recommend HAPPY PAWS to anyone.
I love this place and so do the dogs. They offers tours, have A/C and/or heat. They always look and smell super clean. They even filter the indoor air. They email pics of them playing. I have 2 large breeds that share a 1st class kennel. They even offer treats and baths. So nice to have a place I trust. Everyone is...

Still have a question? Call 707-678-6600 (every day 7:30-11:30 AM and 2-5 PM) or see the boarding FAQ.
Does Happy Paws board unneutered dogs?
Yes. All breeds are accepted whether neutered or intact.
Does an intact dog cost more?
No. The 2026 rate sheet lists prices by kennel size, not by neuter status.
Do I need to tell the kennel my dog is intact?
Please do, when you book, so staff can plan the best run.
Can an intact male share a run with a female?
Dogs from the same home can share a run. Ask the front desk about your dogs.
