Timing a weekend stay
Check-out is by 11:30 AM, so a Sunday-morning pick-up keeps the stay at whole nights. If you collect your pet in the Sunday afternoon window, the half-night charge applies. Friday drop-off and Sunday pick-up is two nights: $104, $118 or $144 for one dog in 2026.
Weekend mornings and afternoons
Most families drop off Friday afternoon after work or Saturday morning, and collect on Sunday. Both of those fit inside the windows. If you will be driving back from Tahoe or the coast, remember that the afternoon window closes at 5:00 PM, so leave time for traffic.
Holiday weekends
Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day are closed all day, and Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve close at 3:00 PM. A Memorial Day weekend, for instance, means picking up on the open days around Monday. See the Memorial Day page and the hours page.
Visiting on a weekend
