Same egg-shaped head, a third of the weight. The AKC calls these upbeat, mischievous dogs who come equipped with terrier fire and fearlessness, and the standard asks for a dog full of fire but amenable to discipline.
Smaller frame, smaller kennel
The larger Bull Terrier is a Business Class dog. The miniature stands 10 to 14 inches, and the AKC weight chart lists 18 to 28 pounds. That is Economy territory: about 16 square feet inside plus 48 outside, $52 a night on the 2026 rates. A pair from one home shares for $52 plus $44. A minibull that does not like to share can take Business Class at $59.
A coat that is one length all over
The standard asks for a straight, short, flat and harsh coat with a fine gloss and tight skin. Not much to tangle, but a white coat shows dirt, and a few days outdoors leaves a mark. Use the Short column on the bath chart effective January 1, 2024: $35 in the 16 to 25 pound row and $40 at 26 to 50 pounds. Please ask to confirm the price.
Fire, fearlessness and a plan for it
Miniatures are muscular for their size and love a project. Walks are included, and the grass field and large fenced play areas give the energy somewhere to go. Pack one durable toy that is not the favorite, because this is a dog that tests plush. Write down on the boarding agreement anything that sets your dog off.
Heat and a thin coat
A short single coat gives little insulation in winter, and the runs are heated with a Kuranda bed and blankets. In summer the NOAA Vacaville station (1991-2020 normals) records about 100 days a year at 90 degrees or more. A white minibull can pick up sun, so the air-conditioned inside half is the midday pick.
Cost example
Five nights in Economy is 5 x $52 = $260 on the 2026 rates. From 14 nights the rate is $47 a night. The kennel confirms every reservation after your online request.
