Which kennel fits a small dog
Economy is the right size for most dogs under 25 pounds: about 16 square feet inside and 48 outside, with a Kuranda bed and a blanket. The kennel describes it as suited to several small or medium dogs or one large dog, so a pair of small dogs from the same home fit easily. The first dog is $52 a night and the second is $44 on the 2026 rates. A whole litter of Chihuahuas can use a First Class kennel.

Bath rows for small dogs

Warmth, nerves and noise
Small dogs lose heat faster, so the heated runs in winter and the blanket matter. In summer, nearby Vacaville, the closest weather station, averages about 100 days a year at 90 degrees or more. The runs are air-conditioned, and your dog chooses inside or out through the doggie door.
A nervous small dog does best with a calm hand-off. Leave your pet in the car at check-in and staff carry the belongings and walk your dog in. On hot pavement, staff may scoop a small dog up and hurry. One toy from home is plenty.
Feeding a small dog
House food is grain-free kibble plus wet food, farm-fresh eggs, hot dogs and treats, at no charge. Small dogs on a special diet can bring their own food in its original bag, with the amount written in cups. Medications are given at no extra charge.
