The rule comes from the 2026 rate sheet. Because it is date-based, the easiest way to apply it is to look up your drop-off date.

How to count
- Pick your drop-off date.
- See whether it lands inside a window above.
- If it does, count back 30 days. That day is the deposit date.
- Pay 50% of the stay then, and the rest at pick-up.
Other times of the year
Outside holiday windows no deposit is due, except for stays longer than four weeks, where a card on file is charged every two weeks in advance.
Which rule applies
The 2026 rate sheet says the policy covers reservations that begin in the window. The kennel's hours page uses wider wording about reservations that include a day in the window. The deposit checker follows the newer rate sheet; please call 707-678-6600 to confirm for your dates.
