A country kennel with a grass field and fenced yards sends dogs home with some of the outdoors on them, so many owners want a bath waiting at pick-up.
How to set it up
The timing matters because a thick coat needs time to dry after the wash. A firm arrival time lets the staff finish the bath and the drying before you walk in.
- Ask for the bath when you book or at drop-off.
- Tell the staff your best estimate of the pick-up time.
- Collect your dog inside the 7:30 to 11:30 AM or 2:00 to 5:00 PM window, as usual.
What a bath costs
The 2026 rate sheet lists baths as "please ask," because the price depends on size, coat type and coat length. The only printed chart is the one effective January 1, 2024. On the 2024 bath chart, a Labrador-type short coat between 51 and 75 pounds is $45, and a double-coated dog such as a Husky in the same weight range is $65. Please ask the kennel to confirm today's price before you book. The bath price chart and the bath price finder show every cell.
Pick-up time and the bill
The nightly rate runs to the 11:30 AM check-out. An afternoon pick-up between 2:00 and 5:00 PM adds half of the nightly fee, so a morning pick-up with a bath planned the day before keeps the cost to the nights you booked plus the bath. Read the afternoon pick-up page if you are choosing between the two.
Fleas and ticks are different
Pets should arrive flea and tick free. If a problem is found after drop-off, the dog is bathed and the owner pays for that bath. A bath you request yourself is a choice; a flea bath is the consequence of arriving without prevention.
