The AKC calls the Mudi an extremely versatile, intelligent, alert, agile, all-purpose Hungarian farm dog. A dog like that notices everything, and that shapes how a stay goes.
Economy fits the frame
At 18 to 29 pounds the Mudi is a light, agile dog, and Economy gives about 16 square feet inside plus 48 outside, with a Kuranda bed and blankets. A heavier male near the top of the range can move up to Business Class (5x6 ft, $59) if you want more floor. Two Mudis from one home share Economy for $52 and $44.
Curly coat and the bath cell
The AKC lists the coat as curly and medium length, with occasional shedding. Weight picks the row: a Mudi of 25 pounds or less sits in the 16 to 25 row, where Medium is $40, and a dog from 26 to 50 pounds is $45. A bath before pick-up is optional after a muddy few days; please ask to confirm the current price.
Alert and busy
An all-purpose farm dog expects something to do. The large fenced play areas and the grass field give a Mudi room to move, and walks are included. Dogs in neighboring runs see each other through the fence, which suits a watchful breed, and each dog still has its own space with a doggie door to choose inside or out.
Heat and the doggie door
The NOAA Vacaville station (1991-2020 normals) records about 100 days a year at 90 degrees or more. A curly medium coat is not a heavy one, but a July afternoon still calls for the air-conditioned inside half. The runs are heated in winter.
What to tell us at check-in
Write down how your Mudi reacts to new sounds and what a normal day of exercise looks like at home. The AKC lists a dog that likes to be vocal, so say so if yours is. Leave your Mudi in the car; staff carry the bag and walk your dog in.
Food, medicine and cost
House food is free, or bring your own in its original bag with the amount in cups. Medications are given at no extra charge. A five-night stay in Economy is 5 x $52 on the 2026 rates, and at 14 nights or more the nightly rate drops to $47.
