The King of Terriers is the largest of the terrier breeds, and the AKC says he is a do-it-all dog.
The biggest terrier
At 50 to 70 pounds and about 23 inches, an Airedale fits Business Class, 5x6 ft, $59 a night. It is a good-sized terrier and gets a good-sized run.
Coat and baths
The AKC calls the coat dense and wiry, tan with black markings, shedding occasionally. On the bath chart effective January 1, 2024, the medium column is $45 at 26 to 50 pounds and $50 at 51 to 75. Please ask to confirm.
Bold, determined and patient with kids
The AKC calls the Airedale bold, determined and sometimes stubborn, docile and patient with kids, and excellent at sports and family activities. A sporty dog like this enjoys the grass field and the walks.
Heat, cold and the run
A wiry coat is not heavy, but an active terrier overheats like any dog. Mornings and evenings suit outdoor play, with the air-conditioned inside run for the middle of the day.
A terrier with room to run
The Airedale is the largest of the terriers, and the AKC says he excels at all kinds of sports and family activities. Business Class gives a 5x6 ft run, with about 30 square feet inside and 60 outside. The large fenced play areas and grass field are there for a terrier's energy.
Two Airedales or one with a friend
Two Airedales from one home can share Business Class at $59 and $50. The AKC says Airedales are docile and patient with kids and will not back down when protecting hearth and home, so share any handling notes on the boarding agreement.
Rates and food
A 10 night Business Class stay is 10 x $59 = $590 on the 2026 rates, and from 14 nights the rate is $53. House food is free, and so are medications; your own food is welcome in its original bag.
A week for one Airedale Terrier
Figures are from the 2026 rates. You pay the balance at pick-up. The reduced rate starts at 14 nights; active military families pay that same reduced rate, about 10 percent off (the rate sheet does not list the two as combining; call 707-678-6600 to confirm).
