County and city animal services
Sacramento County's Bradshaw Animal Shelter is at 3839 Bradshaw Road in Sacramento. A dog older than four months needs a license under California law, and a rabies vaccine is part of that. For a stay at Happy Paws, the kennel asks for rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella and canine influenza for dogs, and rabies and FVRCP for cats.
