The easiest time to send records is with the booking request, because the kennel confirms each reservation. Here is each option with a short checklist.
Option 1: upload to your account
The online account at ProPetware lets you send booking requests, update your information and upload vaccination records. Open the account from the booking page, attach the file for each pet, and send your request. The kennel confirms the reservation afterwards; sending a request is not a confirmation.
If you have more than one pet, attach a record for each one and name them in the request. Mixed-up files are the most common delay, and a record that lists a different pet name from the booking is easy to miss.
Option 2: email
Email a photo or scan to HappyPawsKennels_Dixon@yahoo.com. Put your pet's name and your last name in the subject so the right file is found, and attach one clear page per pet. Phones photograph paper well; flatten the page and avoid shadows.
Your veterinarian's office can usually email the record directly to you in minutes. Many clinics also have a patient portal where you can download the vaccination history as a PDF, which is clearer than a photograph of a paper certificate.
Option 3: bring a copy
Bring a paper copy to the first check-in. Allow extra time on a first visit, because a new client also completes the boarding agreement. The agreement is needed once, even with an online account. The agreement page has the form.
Keep the original at home. The kennel needs a copy on file, not the certificate itself, and your dog may need the original for licensing or travel.
What the record must show
- Your pet's name and your name.
- Each required vaccine with the date given.
- An expiration or due date that falls after your pick-up day.
- The clinic name or veterinarian's signature.
- For canine influenza, the first dose date and the booster date once given.
After a booster
Send an updated record whenever your pet gets a booster, so the file stays current. Questions about what your pet needs belong with your veterinarian. Please call 707-678-6600 to confirm for your pet. The readiness checker and requirements page list every vaccine.
