You pay the balance when you pick up your pet. The two exceptions are the 50% holiday deposit, due 30 days before drop-off, and stays longer than four weeks, which are charged to a card on file every two weeks in advance. At pick-up the kennel adds up the nights at the posted rate, the half-night charge for an afternoon pick-up if it applies, and any extras you chose. Posted daily rates apply to the whole stay. ## Stays that begin near a holiday Holiday windows run from seven days before through seven days after a major holiday. A stay that begins inside one needs a 50% non-refundable deposit 30 days before drop-off. The deposit counts toward the total, and you pay the rest at pick-up. ## Stays longer than four weeks A card goes on file, and the kennel charges it every two weeks in advance. That means the first two weeks are paid at the start. For a month-long trip, plan for that charge before you leave. The long-term rate, for 14 nights or more, applies to the whole stay. ## If your plans change Extending a stay adds nights at the nightly rate.
