# Happy extras

Happy extras are optional treats and play sessions you can add to a stay: a Happy Pup Cup or Happy Lick Mat for $4.99, a Happy Pupsicle for $7.99, and an additional picture play session for $14.99 or a bubble session for $19.99, on the 2026 rate sheet.

The base nightly rate already covers house food, medications and walks. Extras are the fun add-ons that make a stay feel like a vacation, and they are entirely your choice.

## The 2026 extras menu

| Extra | Price (2026 rates) |

## What each one is

- [Happy Pup Cup](https://happypawskennels.com/extras/happy-pup-cup/): a small cup treat, topped with real bacon bits.
- [Happy Lick Mat](https://happypawskennels.com/extras/lick-mats/): a lick mat spread with peanut butter or cheese.
- [Happy Pupsicle](https://happypawskennels.com/extras/pupsicles/): a frozen bell pepper treat in a beef or chicken flavor.
- [Picture play and bubble play sessions](https://happypawskennels.com/extras/picture-play-sessions/): extra play time with pictures for you.

## Extras and the daily enrichment rule

California law asks every boarding kennel to give each pet daily enrichment (Health and Safety Code 122383(e)), so extras are never needed for a pet to be looked after. They are optional treats on top.

That is why the extras are described as treats rather than necessities. If you want your dog to have a special moment, add one; if you prefer to keep a stay simple, the standard care is complete.

## How to add extras

Ask for them when you book, or tell the front desk at drop-off. Mention any food allergies so staff can choose the right flavor. Extras are added to your bill and paid with the balance at pick-up. The [stay cost estimator](https://happypawskennels.com/tools/stay-cost-estimator/) shows nightly totals, and the full price list is on the [rates page](https://happypawskennels.com/rates/).

## What pet owners say

4.9 from 133 Google reviews [Read them on Google](https://maps.google.com/maps?cid=12930655858419906774)

I love boarding my dog there because on vacation I know he'll be safe. Well treated heat and AC all is good. They send me photos of them and they're very very friendly staff. I highly recommend HAPPY PAWS to anyone.

Marc B., Google review, August 2026

Just picked up my pup Loki from a 4 day stay, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. We cannot be more happy with the level of care and pictures uploaded while we were away. Loki even got a bath before pick up! Which I highly recommend. We plan to use them whenever we have the need.
