People search for pup cups because they have seen dogs get one at the drive-through. At Happy Paws the pup cup is part of the boarding menu, so your dog can have the same small celebration while you are away.

## At a glance

- $4.99 each (2026 rates)
- Topped with real bacon bits
- Optional, for boarders and day care dogs
- Paid with your balance at pick-up

## What is a pup cup?

A pup cup is a small cup of a dog-friendly treat, served for a dog rather than a person. At Happy Paws the Happy Pup Cup is listed with the other fun extras on the 2026 rate sheet at $4.99, and the kennel's rates page describes it as made with real bacon bits.

It is a treat, not a meal. Your dog still gets the regular house food, or your own food in the amounts you wrote down.

## Who it is for

- A dog that loves a treat and is spending a birthday or holiday away from home
- A dog that is a little unsure on the first night and enjoys a friendly bite from staff
- A short day care visit that deserves something special
- Anyone who wants to send a small treat along with the goodbye

## Pup cups and the enrichment rule

California law asks every boarding kennel to give each pet daily enrichment (Health and Safety Code 122383(e)), so extras are never needed for a pet to be looked after. They are optional treats on top.

A Happy Pup Cup is simply one more way to make a day brighter. Skipping it does not change the care your dog receives.

## Ordering one

- Tell the kennel when you book or at drop-off that you would like a Happy Pup Cup, and how many.
- Say if your dog has any food allergy or sensitive stomach so staff can decide together.
- Pay for it with the balance at pick-up.

## Pair it with another extra

Dogs that love licking often enjoy a [Happy Lick Mat](https://happypawskennels.com/extras/lick-mats/) as well, and hot days call for a [Happy Pupsicle](https://happypawskennels.com/extras/pupsicles/). See the whole menu on [Happy extras](https://happypawskennels.com/extras/).

I love boarding my dog there because on vacation I know he'll be safe. Well treated heat and AC all is good. They send me photos of them and they're very very friendly staff. I highly recommend HAPPY PAWS to anyone.

Marc B., Google review, August 2026

Just picked up my pup Loki from a 4 day stay, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. We cannot be more happy with the level of care and pictures uploaded while we were away. Loki even got a bath before pick up! Which I highly recommend. We plan to use them whenever we have the need.
