On the 2024 bath chart the Double Coated column is $75 at 76 to 100 pounds and $85 over 100. The AKC calls Tibetan Mastiffs densely coated giants, mellow and calm around the house, devoted to family and aloof and territorial with strangers. A Mastiff is a short-coated dog; this one carries a heavy mane. ## First Class for a dense giant Males stand at least 26 inches and females 24, and the weight puts most in the biggest bath rows. First Class gives about 48 square feet inside plus 72 outside, with a Kuranda bed and blankets. The coat adds bulk the scale does not show, so the extra floor matters. ## Double coat and the chart The AKC lists a medium double coat with seasonal shedding. A 70 to 75 pound female is $65 in the Double Coated column, a 76 to 100 pound dog is $75, and a dog over 100 pounds is $85. A bath on a coat this dense is a long job, so please ask to confirm the price and the timing. ## Calm in the house, guarded outside The AKC describes a mellow, calm dog at home that is aloof and territorial with strangers. For a stay that means a quiet handover: leave your dog in the car at check-in and staff walk your dog in. Tell us how your dog handles strangers and other dogs; each run is private, and dogs see neighbors through the fence. ## Heat is the main risk A Tibetan Mastiff's coat suits a mountain winter. NOAA's Vacaville station records about 100 days a year at 90 degrees or more, and a 100 pound dog with a heavy coat feels that. The runs are air-conditioned in summer and the doggie door lets your dog pick the cool side. ## Cost and records Seven nights in First Class is 7 x $72 on the 2026 rates, and a stay of 14 nights or more is $65 a night. Rabies, distemper/parvo, Bordetella and canine influenza must be current.
