The Cat Fanciers' Association calls the Bengal curious and athletic, with kitten-like energy well into its senior years. [Book a stay](https://happypawskennels.propetware.com/customerLogin)[Call 707-678-6600](tel:+17076786600) A Bengal wants to climb, watch and investigate. A tower with four levels fits that better than a flat cage would. ## Four levels for an athletic cat The CFA describes the Bengal as confident, curious and athletic, with a muscular, powerful body. The cattery gives each cat an individual four-level tower, plus a litter box and a blanket. A cat tree and cat houses are available too. One Bengal is $35 a night on the 2026 rates. ## Size and build The CFA describes a muscular, powerful body that combines elegance and grace with athletic prowess, a distinctive head with large luminous eyes, a wide nose and prominent whisker pads, and a brown spotted or marbled coat. The coat color does not change the care, but the muscle does: expect a cat that uses every level of the tower. ## Short, silky coat The CFA says the Bengal coat is incredibly soft and silky, unlikely to mat and not a heavy shedder. Weekly brushing with a soft brush is plenty, so a Bengal arrives in easy shape and needs nothing special before a stay. ## Energy and intelligence The CFA says Bengals are extremely intelligent, quite trainable and often fascinated by water, and that some enjoy walking on a harness and leash. Variety is the point of a stay for a cat like this, so bring one toy from home and tell the staff what your cat likes. The CFA notes that some Bengals are talkative and some are not. ## What a stay costs Six nights for one Bengal is 6 x $35 = $210 on the 2026 rates. A Bengal sharing a tower with another cat from the same home is $30 a night for the second. Cat day care is $25. ## Preparing for the stay Rabies and FVRCP must be current through the last day of the stay. The house food is pate plus chicken-and-rice kibble at no charge, or your own food in its original bag with amounts in cups. A Bengal that is new to boarding can try cat day care at $25 first. ### Sources (checked October 19, 2026) - [Cat Fanciers' Association - Bengal breed profile](https://cfa.org/bengal/) - [Happy Paws Kennels 2026 rate sheet (PDF)](https://happypawskennels.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/11/2026-Rates-EFFECTIVE-1-1-26.pdf) ### 2026 nightly rates - First Class kennel $72 - Business Class kennel $59 - Economy Class kennel $52 - Cat condo $35 All-inclusive: food, medications and walks. 2026 rates, effective for reservations made on or after Jan 1, 2026.
